Free Media for Multimedia Projects
Many of the links listed on this page are primarily to artists that have licensed their work under the Creative Commons license. Creative Commons offers teachers the flexibility to create, share, and build off the ideas of others.
It is important to respect copyright regardless of its source. I have included links to a webpage on the four factors for determining fair use and to an explanation of Creative Commons licensing.
Learn more about U.S. copyright law at copyright.gov. and Hall Davidson's Copyright and Fair Use Guidelines for Teachers. The University of San Francisco (Gleeson Library) also has an excellent guide for understanding and observing copyright.
